FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
• What Does TuneFizz offer?
TuneFizz enables musicians, artists, bands, producers, and independent labels without a Record deal to distribute and sell their music on 220+ DSPs (Digital Streaming Services) in nearly 190 territories as part of our standard service, including all leading platforms.
• How do I apply to TuneFizz?
Click ‘Request Invite’ in the top right corner of the page and follow the steps to submit your application.
You can also reach out through the Artists & Label Partnership team to be invited.
• What's the deal?
The standard TuneFizz deal is a simple digital distribution license with a 90-day rolling term, meaning you can terminate your agreement with us at any time on 90 days’ notice. We take a share of the revenue that we collect for you. There are no additional fees for distribution and no upfront or annual fees for uploading or storing your release with TuneFizz.
• What is the profit share percentage?
We operate exclusively on a revenue split, so there are no out-of-pocket fees/costs for you. The revenue sharing terms vary artist to artist with consideration of clients’ catalog size, assumptions of revenue to be generated and future release plans, etc but should not be more than 25%-10% of revenue splits. You get to keep 75%-90% royalties.
• How do I get paid?
TuneFizz artists/clients receive their royalties via PayPal. Please be sure to input your PayPal email address in your account information section to be paid properly and on time.
For bank transfers (via Tipalti), a threshold of $100 needs to be met before payouts commence.
• How long does it take for my music to be published?
Most of the time your music will appear as fast as 24-48 hours. However, it is recommended that you plan your release date at least 14 days in advance to make sure that it will actually be available everywhere on your desired release date.
To get your music considered for inclusion in Spotify playlists, iTunes featured placement, and more, make sure to upload and send the final product to our retailers at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance. This will ensure the best opportunities for promotion and exposure.
Please take note that during the November/December holidays, there may be delays in delivery. So, take precautions!
• Do I get access to your system?
Yes, of course. You will receive login details via email once we’ve processed your application and you have been accepted by a TuneFizz member. Your music can be submitted via our Client Portal/Dashboard.
• Which stores and streaming services will my release appear in?
TuneFizz supplies 220+ digital partners in nearly 190 territories including (but not limited to) all of the leading major platforms – such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, Pandora, Beatport, Anghami, YouTube, TikTok, Resso, JioSaavn, Tencent, SoundCloud, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Snapchat, Audiomack
• If I change/switch distributors, will I lose my streams on Spotify?
Most likely not. The secret to transferring your music from one distributor to another is to use the same ISRCs and the same metadata.
The way to do it is as follows:
- Give us all your files and metadata.
- We update and deliver the music to Spotify and other music stores.
- Your content will be duplicated for about 24 – 48 hours. After that, Spotify will assimilate and associate the “new” content and will merge it with what you currently have online.
- After that has been done, you can request a takedown from your music distributor.
- The old records will disappear and your stream count will remain the same.
• Can TuneFizz provide a UPC/ISRC code?
- UPC stands for Universal Product Code, it’s essentially a barcode that identifies your release. We assign these automatically (at no charge) if you don’t have your own.
- ISRC stands for International Standard Recording Code. It’s a unique identifier for a recording (different versions such as a Radio Edit and a Live version would have different codes). Again, we assign these automatically (at no charge) once your release has been submitted if the field is left empty.
